THE DETAILS

How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.

Your surgeon checks eye health, prescription stability and the criteria for each procedure at your assessment.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Before

We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.

  2. During

Your clinician listens first, examines what is needed and explains every option, including doing nothing, with its price.

  3. After

You leave with a written plan, the price of every step and time to decide. Nothing is booked until you are ready.

Know the names.

The makers, products and standards we reference at a dry-eye evaluation.

PRK / Corneal laser

Surface treatment deserves its own chapter

PRK reshapes the cornea without creating a LASIK flap. The surface-healing phase changes preparation, comfort and recovery planning; it is not simply LASIK with a different name.

  • Understand epithelial healing and prescribed aftercare.
  • Plan work and transport around the surgeon’s recovery guidance.
  • Discuss why the method fits the individual eye.

Good to know.

Does it hurt?

Most of this visit is conversation. If a test or an examination would help, your clinician explains what it involves and what you may feel before it begins, and nothing happens without your agreement.

How soon will I see results?

You leave with a written plan and a timeline for each step, so you know what to expect before you commit to anything.

How do I prepare?

Bring your questions and anything you would like us to see, such as previous results or photographs. If a visit needs any preparation, we tell you when you book and again in your confirmation.

Questions worth bringing.

  • What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider dry-eye evaluation?
  • Which eye-health findings, prescription history and corneal measurements determine eligibility?
  • How will dry eye, night-vision symptoms, near-vision tradeoffs and follow-up be discussed?

Before you book.

New to Vista Vision Center? We start with a conversation, write your plan down with the price of every step and let you decide at your own pace. Suitability, risks and alternatives are decided with your clinician at your consultation.

“Started with the dry-eye evaluation, which fixed the problem I had come in for. Surgery was discussed only once my eyes were ready.”
