THE DETAILS

How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.

Your fertility specialist reviews your history and circumstances before any testing or treatment is discussed, and explains success rates, risks, costs and limits as they apply to you; preservation does not guarantee a future pregnancy.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Before

We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.

  2. During

Your clinician explains each stage of the cycle before it begins, and your care team checks in with you throughout.

  3. After

You receive a written summary of your cycle and what it means, and a direct line for every question that follows.

Vitrolife / EmbryoScope

A window into the embryology lab

EmbryoScope combines incubation with time-lapse imaging so embryologists can observe development without repeatedly removing embryos for viewing. A lab feature is not itself a guarantee of pregnancy.

  • Ask what observation contributes to embryo assessment.
  • Distinguish an incubator feature from a proven individual benefit.
  • Request a plain-language explanation of laboratory updates.

CooperSurgical / RI Witness

Identity checks, made understandable

RI Witness is an electronic witnessing system used in fertility laboratories. The useful patient story is how identity checks, documentation and human procedures work together.

  • Ask the laboratory to explain its witnessing workflow.
  • Discuss chain-of-custody and storage communication.
  • Understand what happens when specimens move between facilities.

Good to know.

Does it hurt?

Your clinician explains what you may feel at each stage of the cycle and your comfort options before anything begins, and your care team is a message away throughout.

What will I know afterwards?

Freezing is planning, not certainty. After your cycle your clinician walks you through what the numbers mean, what they cannot predict and the options from there.

How do I prepare?

Bring your questions and anything you would like us to see, such as previous results or photographs. If a visit needs any preparation, we tell you when you book and again in your confirmation.

Questions worth bringing.

  • What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider embryo freezing?
  • How will my history, age and relevant test findings shape the options and their uncertainties?
  • What medication, retrieval, storage, consent and future-use costs should the clinic explain separately?

Before you book.
