How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.
Your clinician looks for the cause of hair change before any option is discussed, and is candid about evidence, risks and what each treatment can and cannot do for your diagnosis.
Your visit, step by step
- Before
We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.
- During
Your clinician listens first, examines what is needed and explains every option, including doing nothing, with its price.
- After
You leave with a written plan, the price of every step and time to decide. Nothing is booked until you are ready.
Know the names.
The name we often plan alongside platelet-based sessions, linked to its maker’s own information and to where it sits on our menu.
ROGAINE
Topical minoxidil, the over-the-counter name most clients already know, and often part of the same plan as platelet-based sessions. Your clinician confirms the formulation and how long to use it.
On our menu: Medical treatment reviewOfficial informationManufacturer and product names belong to their owners and link to official information. No affiliation or authorized-provider status is implied.
Good to know.
Does it hurt?
Most of this visit is conversation. If a test or an examination would help, your clinician explains what it involves and what you may feel before it begins, and nothing happens without your agreement.
How soon will I see results?
You leave with a written plan and a timeline for each step, so you know what to expect before you commit to anything.
How do I prepare?
Bring your questions and anything you would like us to see, such as previous results or photographs. If a visit needs any preparation, we tell you when you book and again in your confirmation.
Questions worth bringing.
- What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider platelet-based treatment discussion?
- How will a clinician investigate the cause and pattern of my hair changes before discussing treatment?
- What evidence, limitations, ongoing care and donor-area considerations apply to the options discussed?
Before you book.
New to Root Hair Clinic? We start with a conversation, write your plan down with the price of every step and let you decide at your own pace. Suitability, risks and alternatives are decided with your clinician at your consultation.
“The platelet-based treatment discussion set out what it can and cannot do. Three sessions in, I’m glad I started.”
