THE DETAILS

How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.

Your surgeon checks eye health, prescription stability and the criteria for each procedure at your assessment.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Before

We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.

  2. During

Your clinician reviews where you are against your plan, listens to what has changed and agrees the next step with you.

  3. After

You leave with written notes from the visit, a direct line for questions and, if you would like one, your next visit already booked.

STAAR Surgical / EVO ICL

An additive lens conversation

EVO ICL is implanted behind the iris and in front of the natural lens for selected nearsighted adults. This is an intraocular operation with a different risk and monitoring profile from a corneal laser.

  • Discuss anatomical measurements and eligibility.
  • Ask about ongoing eye-pressure and eye-health review.
  • Compare lens implantation with laser correction and glasses.

Good to know.

What happens at a visit?

Unhurried time with your care team. At your first visit we learn what matters to you and agree a plan together; after that, each visit reviews how things are going and the next step. Nothing changes in your plan without your agreement.

How do you measure progress?

We agree a few clear milestones at the start and review them with you at every visit, so progress is measured rather than guessed.

How do I prepare?

Bring your questions and anything you would like us to see, such as previous results or photographs. If a visit needs any preparation, we tell you when you book and again in your confirmation.

Questions worth bringing.

  • What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider post-procedure review?
  • Which eye-health findings, prescription history and corneal measurements determine eligibility?
  • How will dry eye, night-vision symptoms, near-vision tradeoffs and follow-up be discussed?

Before you book.
