THE DETAILS

How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.

Your surgeon checks eye health, prescription stability and the criteria for each procedure at your assessment.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Before

We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.

  2. During

Your clinician explains each step before it happens and checks on your comfort throughout. Nothing is added to your plan without your agreement.

  3. After

You leave with written aftercare, a direct line for questions and, if you would like one, your next visit already booked.

Know the names.

The alternative we often compare with refractive lens exchange, linked to its maker’s own information and to where it sits on our menu.

Implantable refractive lens

STAAR Surgical EVO ICL

A lens placed in front of your natural lens instead of replacing it. For some eyes it is the alternative to lens exchange, and your surgeon explains which suits yours.

Good to know.

Does it hurt?

Your clinician explains what you may feel at each step and your comfort options before anything begins, and goes at your pace.

How soon will I see results?

Your clinician gives you a written timeline at your consultation and reviews progress with you at each follow-up.

How do I prepare?

Bring your questions and anything you would like us to see, such as previous results or photographs. If a visit needs any preparation, we tell you when you book and again in your confirmation.

Questions worth bringing.

  • What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider refractive lens exchange?
  • Which eye-health findings, prescription history and corneal measurements determine eligibility?
  • How will dry eye, night-vision symptoms, near-vision tradeoffs and follow-up be discussed?

Before you book.
