How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.
A sea trial is where you learn how the boat handles, docks and rides in chop, so we run it on your local water with a captain and a checklist. It is scheduled once we agree on a boat and an offer, and takes about two hours. A viewing covers intended use, capacity, experience and ownership arrangements. Inventory, condition, surveys, safety equipment, documentation and purchase terms are confirmed in writing before purchase.

A day that can become a weekend
BENETEAU’s Antares and Gran Turismo families illustrate different ways to combine cockpit social space and sheltered accommodation. A viewing follows a day aboard: boarding, food preparation, shade, rest and the trip home.
- Berths versus comfortable day capacity distinguished
- Galley, head, ventilation and shore-power questions
- Sea-trial conditions and independent survey discussed
The helm, made personal
Chartplotter, sonar, radar and autopilot integration can shape how a boat is used. Garmin’s marine system categories make the equipment discussion specific while reminding owners that installed hardware, charts and training require individual confirmation.
- Installed screen, transducer and network inventory
- Chart licensing, updates and power requirements
- Dockside orientation and operator-training questions

Good to know.
Can I drive during the sea trial?
Yes. The captain hands over the helm once you are comfortable.
What if the trial changes my mind?
Then the deposit is returned and we keep looking.
Questions worth bringing.
- What should I understand about the process and inclusions for sea-trial planning?
- How do intended waters, passengers, storage and my operating experience affect the boats to view?
- Which condition records, independent survey options, sea-trial terms and ownership documents should I review?
