THE DETAILS

How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.

Your therapist evaluates symptoms, function and history before treatment; diagnosis, manual techniques and exercise plans follow that assessment, and we refer on when something needs another specialist.

Your visit, step by step

  1. Before

We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.

  2. During

Your clinician reviews where you are against your plan, listens to what has changed and agrees the next step with you.

  3. After

You leave with written notes from the visit, a direct line for questions and, if you would like one, your next visit already booked.

AlterG / Body-weight support

Change the load, keep the movement

AlterG treadmills use adjustable body-weight support for selected rehabilitation and training situations. The therapist controls how that tool fits the individual loading plan.

  • Discuss why reduced loading may be useful.
  • Ask how support and pace are progressed.
  • Connect treadmill work with the activities you want to resume.

Good to know.

What happens at a visit?

Unhurried time with your care team. At your first visit we learn what matters to you and agree a plan together; after that, each visit reviews how things are going and the next step. Nothing changes in your plan without your agreement.

How do you measure progress?

We agree a few clear milestones at the start and review them with you at every visit, so progress is measured rather than guessed.

How do I prepare?

Bring your questions and anything you would like us to see, such as previous results or photographs. If a visit needs any preparation, we tell you when you book and again in your confirmation.

Questions worth bringing.

  • What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider balance & mobility support?
  • How will the clinician assess my symptoms, functional goals and any need for medical referral?
  • How are exercise progression, any manual techniques, consent and changes to the care plan reviewed?

Before you book.

New to Motion Care? We start with a conversation, write your plan down with the price of every step and let you decide at your own pace. Suitability, risks and alternatives are decided with your clinician at your consultation.
