How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.
Your audiologist assesses your hearing, health history and the testing that fits; device recommendations and any onward referral follow your results, not a sales target.
Your visit, step by step
- Before
We send a short health questionnaire with your confirmation. Arrive ten minutes early and bring a list of medications and any previous records.
- During
Your clinician takes any impressions or measurements needed, checks the fit with you, adjusts anything that is not quite right and shows you how to look after it.
- After
You leave with care notes, a direct line for questions and, if you would like one, your next check already booked.
Know the names.
The makers, products and standards we reference when we talk about device maintenance & review.
The fitting deserves verification
Real-ear measurement uses a probe microphone to check sound in the individual ear. It helps the audiologist verify the fit against appropriate targets rather than relying only on a manufacturer’s initial settings.
- Ask whether verification is included.
- Discuss comfort and speech clarity together.
- Plan adjustments and a review of everyday listening.
Manufacturer and product names belong to their owners and link to official information. No affiliation or authorized-provider status is implied.
Good to know.
Does it hurt?
Fittings and checks are unhurried and done seated. If an impression or an adjustment is needed, your clinician explains what you will feel first and goes at your pace.
What if it does not feel right?
Tell us. We book a quick review and adjust it: a fit should feel right in everyday life, not only on the day it is fitted.
How do I prepare?
Bring your current device, if you have one, your questions and any previous results. We send preparation notes with your confirmation, and you can text us any time before your visit.
Questions worth bringing.
- What should an individual assessment clarify before I consider device maintenance & review?
- How will hearing-test findings and my everyday listening environments guide the options?
- What fitting verification, trial terms, adjustments, device maintenance and follow-up are included?
