THE DETAILS

How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.

We examine the stones and metal under magnification, tell you what is safe to reset and what the original is worth, then design around the parts that matter. Reusing your gold reduces the cost, and the piece is finished in our workshop in six to eight weeks. A design conversation covers intended use, budget, stone preferences and timeline. Material descriptions, grading reports, sourcing, prices and warranty terms are confirmed in writing before a piece is made.

Ideal for
  • Inherited rings
  • Loose family stones
  • Updating a setting

Your visit, step by step

  1. Before

Bring the piece and any paperwork you have.

  2. During

Assessment under magnification, a written note on what can be reused and design sketches.

  3. After

Redesign and care

The heirloom, reimagined

We start with an assessment of the existing piece and the parts of the story that must survive. Digital design tools help us visualize a new setting, while our jeweler separately determines which stones and materials can be reused.

  • Photographic intake and condition record
  • Old setting, new proportions and wearability compared
  • Reuse feasibility, losses and returned materials agreed

Good to know.

Can old stones be reset safely?

Usually; we check each stone for chips and wear and tell you honestly before we begin.

Do I get the leftover metal back?

Yes, or we credit its value against the new piece.

Questions worth bringing.

  • What should I understand about the process and inclusions for heirloom redesign?
  • How will stone documentation, metal specifications, design approvals and sourcing descriptions be verified?
  • Which resizing, repair, warranty and return arrangements apply to a custom or made-to-order piece?
