How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.
We match the laser setting to your skin, your concern and the downtime you can afford, from a weekend of pinkness to a week of peeling for deeper change. A single session shifts texture and tone noticeably; two sessions a season apart are typical for lines and scarring.
- Sun damage
- Fine lines
- Acne scarring
Your visit, step by step
- Before
Stay out of the sun for two weeks and use the preparation skincare we send home with you.
- During
Numbing cream for 30 minutes, then the laser pass itself takes about 20; cool air keeps it comfortable.
- After
Expect warmth like a sunburn tonight, light peeling from day three and makeup again by day five or six.
Know the names.
The makers, products and standards we reference when we talk about laser resurfacing.
Light, resurfacing, or both?
BBL is a light-based platform; MOXI and HALO are laser platforms. The important comparison is the concern, skin assessment and recovery commitment behind the name.
- Pigment and redness deserve different diagnostic questions.
- Request skin-tone and recent-sun-exposure assessment.
- Compare aftercare, downtime and a staged treatment plan.
Manufacturer and product names belong to their owners and link to official information. No affiliation or authorized-provider status is implied.
Good to know.
Is it safe for my skin tone?
We treat a wide range of skin tones with the right device settings; your clinician confirms the plan and may run a test patch first.
How much downtime should I plan?
Four to six days of redness and light peeling for a standard setting. Book it for a Thursday and you are presentable by the following week.
Questions worth bringing.
- How do my skin tone, skin history and medications affect resurfacing suitability?
- Which device and treatment approach is being discussed, and what are its risks and alternatives?
- What preparation, recovery support and follow-up would the clinician plan for my circumstances?
