How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.
We start with a discovery meeting about how you live, then design in-house, price every selection by name and build with our own site managers. Most homes take twelve to sixteen months from the first drawing to move-in, with a weekly update and one person to call. Your project conversation covers land, intended use, budget range and design priorities. We verify feasibility, engineering, approvals, specifications and contract terms before you sign.
- New construction
- Fixed-price certainty
- Design-led families
Your project, step by step
- Before
A discovery meeting at the studio or on your lot, with a budget range and a design brief.
- During
Concept design, selections and engineering, a fixed-price agreement, then construction with weekly updates.
- After
A final walkthrough, a one-year warranty visit and a maintenance guide for your home.
Know the names.
The makers, products and standards we reference when we talk about custom home design & build.
The well-made envelope
We detail a continuous enclosure with Huber ZIP System sheathing and coordinated flashing, then connect the specification to window installation and the home’s ventilation strategy.
- Review transitions at openings and penetrations
- Photograph concealed work before it is covered
- Define project-specific verification and commissioning
Manufacturer and product names belong to their owners and link to official information. No affiliation or authorized-provider status is implied.
Good to know.
How long does a custom home take?
Twelve to sixteen months from the first drawing to move-in for most homes; permits and site conditions move it either way.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes. Every selection is named in the agreement; only owner-requested changes are priced during construction.
Do you design in-house?
Yes. Architecture and interiors are ours, and we collaborate happily when you bring your own architect.
Questions worth bringing.
- What should the site assessment and written scope establish for custom home design & build?
- How will site conditions, planning requirements and the design brief shape feasibility?
- Which specifications, allowances and change-approval steps will the building agreement document?
Before you book.
Every project starts on site. You receive a written scope, a schedule and a price range before design begins, and nothing moves to contract until you approve it. Final scope and pricing are confirmed after your site assessment.
“Custom home design & build with a team that answered the same day for fourteen months. We moved in on the date in the contract.”
