How it works.
What to expect, start to finish.
We detail the envelope, specify windows and insulation for the climate and install balanced ventilation and heat-pump systems as standard upgrades. Every high-performance home is blower-door tested and handed over with a performance report. Your project conversation covers land, intended use, budget range and design priorities. We verify feasibility, engineering, approvals, specifications and contract terms before you sign.
- Lower energy bills
- Quiet interiors
- Solar-ready roofs
Your project, step by step
- Before
A conversation about performance goals at the discovery meeting.
- During
Envelope detailing, upgraded windows and systems, inspections and testing during the build.
- After
A performance report, a system orientation and a maintenance schedule.
Know the names.
The makers, products and standards we reference when we talk about high-performance homes.
The well-made envelope
We detail a continuous enclosure with Huber ZIP System sheathing and coordinated flashing, then connect the specification to window installation and the home’s ventilation strategy.
- Review transitions at openings and penetrations
- Photograph concealed work before it is covered
- Define project-specific verification and commissioning
Manufacturer and product names belong to their owners and link to official information. No affiliation or authorized-provider status is implied.
Good to know.
What does it add to the price?
Typically five to eight percent of the build; the agreement itemises each upgrade.
Is solar included?
The roof and electrical are solar-ready as standard; panels are an option we price with you.
Questions worth bringing.
- What should the site assessment and written scope establish for high-performance homes?
- How will site conditions, planning requirements and the design brief shape feasibility?
- Which specifications, allowances and change-approval steps will the building agreement document?
Before you book.
Every project starts on site. You receive a written scope, a schedule and a price range before design begins, and nothing moves to contract until you approve it. Final scope and pricing are confirmed after your site assessment.
